The conference is the perfect place to meet up with colleagues, peers, presenters and exhibitors. From a breakfast session to the lunch breaks in the exhibition hall, there's ample opportunity to catch up with new and old friends. 

Why not make the most of the time to socialise at one of our social events, tailored specifically for this purpose! Come along to the Meet & Greet on Thursday evening, and join us in officially opening the conference.

Then on Friday night its time to Rock out at the Rock Star party. Wear an old gig t-shirt or go all-out and harness your inner rock child for karaoke choir! It's going to be epic. How can it not be with 400 nurses singing along to some classic tunes?

With so much going on at the conference, now's the time to figure out the specifics of what's on offer.

Breakfast sessions, abstracts, exhibition booths, and much more - get ahead of the game and plan your movements while at the conference. 

The Delegate Handbook will be your conference bible – jot your name in it and take note of all the sessions that you missed. The sessions will be posted online shortly after the conference. We'll be filming more sessions than ever before and will provide PDFs of all of the slides to conference delegates after the event.

Take a wander around the River Torrens, kick the footy at Adelaide Oval, or stop to smell the roses at the Botanic Gardens – Adelaide is bursting at the seams with extra things to do when you're not busy in the Exhibition Hall. If you have a bit more time on your hands, why not plan a trip to the Barossa or the Clare Valley

Adelaide Convention Centre can also help you out with suggestions for your free time and have a tourism desk to provide you with all the info you need – too easy!

The conference offers over 20 hours of CPD, presented to you by over 100 speakers from local and international settings. 
There will be no shortage of opportunities for you to develop your clinical and professional skills. We are excited to see you share ideas that can be applied to benefit your workplace well into the future. 

Remember to jot down helpful information while you're at the conference – this will come in handy when you're back at work and reflecting for your CPD requirements.

Connect with your nursing colleagues before the conference, while you're there, and afterwards as well! It's always great to catch up with old friends, as well as make some new ones along the way. Nurses are the ideal networkers – always willing to share information and chat about challenges they face day-to-day. Remember to pack some business cards so you can stay in touch with all your new friends.

We have plenty on offer at the APNA booth in the packed exhibitors hall, along with plenty of freebies from the rest of our exhibitors. Take your pals over to the booths and pick up some information to take back to work with you. Don't forget to leave space in your luggage for all your loot!

You've made it to the most important part of your pre-conference prep!

It may be daunting stepping out of your daily routine and into an unfamiliar environment, but it's important to treat yourself at the conference and remember, you are with friends. These are your people, your tribe. Have fun, share stories, exchange phone numbers and help each other out.
