The Wednesday Room: Nurse-Led Clinic - Jaclyn Eyles
An Abstract from the APNA 2018 National Conference - Nurseforce for the Future - The Wednesday Room: Nurse-Led Clinic presented by Jaclyn Eyles.
Commencing in 2013, to help address the increasing health care needs for the transient staff living and working in the ski fields, registered nurse Jackie Eyles, established The Wednesday Room Nurse-led Clinic.
Faced with issues related to high density living, low wages, high rent, first time away from home for many, high drug and alcohol use, and ski related injuries—it was clear that a new model of care was required to address the needs of this group. Located in the snow resort town of Jindabyne in New South Wales, the clinic was designed to adapt to the increase in need of the changing population.
