Putting the Health in Healthcare
Nurses can and do play a critical role in the reorientation of health services towards the prevention of non-communicable disease. Health promotion means just that - moving upstream to promote positive wellbeing for individuals and the whole community.
In this presentation Dr Bruce Bolam will provide practical insights into how nurses can empower patients, services and communities to take control of their own health. From action on individual behaviour and service reform, to community engagement and partnership building, nurses are at the forefront of health promotion - putting the health back in healthcare.
