Healthy Weight Matters: Addressing Obesity in Our Communities
The research shows that tackling obesity and unhealthy weight requires a multifaceted approach, as the causes of being overweight may stem from a range of factors, including physiological, social, genetic, environmental and psychological. This presentation will outline the development of a new online resource to assist nurses to manage excess weight in primary school aged children.
It includes the results of interviews with nurses and GPs and will show videos of scenarios demonstrating the approach to weight management in engaged and less than engaged families.
