Research reports provide insights into veterans’ health and wellbeing

August 2018. First reports of Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) and Department of Defence-funded Transition and Wellbeing Research Programme have been published. Department of Veterans' Affairs Toolbox trial

The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is currently testing a new DVA Toolbox for Coordinated Veterans’ Care (CVC), which supports medical clinics and practitioners who enrol and care for DVA clients in the CVC Program. Health professionals are invited to access and trial the toolbox during the testing phase.

Improved access for veterans to mental health care

From mid-2018, eligible Australian Defence Force members transitioning from defence will automatically receive a DVA White Card to access DVA-funded mental health care from general practitioners, psychologists, psychiatrists or other health providers. Read more...
